| Welcome.
Our goals for this class are to compliment CE 110 and provide hands-on
experience with a variety of materials and mechanical-testing equipment.
We will begin by reviewing Hooke's law
for springs and then look at a similar relationship for non-springs
(steel and aluminum bars).
We will also practice our spreadsheet and data-analysis skills
by creating graphs and linear regressions, which are fundamental to
materials testing. |
